Mr.Popper's Penguins

For many kids this is one of there first chapter books they will read or have read to them, so they tend to only remember small crucial parts of the book.Mr.Poppers Penguins has always been a personal favorite of mine. I can remember being totally blown away by the fact that Mr.Popper had a penguin sent in the mail to him. I also enjoyed it because I could some what predict what would happen next. Many kids like animals, that they don't see everyday around the house. I believe that using penguins instead of dogs or any house hold pet was a great idea because kids are more so interested in animals not so common. I think its is more of an attention getter.
