Life and death is shown by Charlotte making her web so that Mr.Zuckerman didn't butcher him. That was really the only interesting thing that happened at school. It was the highlight of my day. In fact I like them so much I would go to school just so i wouldn't miss anything. What I liked best about the book was the creatures. I loved the goat human. I great thing they are so suspenfull. You never know what will happen next. This book does a really great job in showing the true value of family love and a family bond. Although there realtionship is a little rocky at first it really comes through in the end. The books are really an easy read for really any age group.

Cat In The Hat

The Cat in The Hat is a very original kids book. I would summit that about 95% of the kids these days have read at least one of Dr.Seuss's book. These books are so predictable. Even when you get older like Mr.Chalker's age you will still be able to say it word for word without missing a beat. This is good for younger children because they can pick up the book and pretend to read it but they are really going off memorization and the pictures. That is how many children learn to read. With Dr.Suess's talented writing abilities are the illustrations. What makes them so unique is that they are so abstract. Everything looks so fake, but you can still tell what they are.

Doctor DeSoto

Doctor DeSoto was one of my older sisters favorite books. I can remember I heard it nearly every night before I went to bed whether I wanted to or not, whether she was tired or not I had to listen to it. I must say after about the four thousandths time it starts to really grow on you. It is about two married mice that are dentists. They only work on animals that will not harm them it even says on there sign. Until one day a fox comes along with a ever so sore tooth. The family talks it over and decides to let him come in. After coming to the conclusion that they need to remove the tooth the fox begins to talk to himself just a little to loud saying"How I love them raw...With just a pinch of salt, and A...Dry...White wine."Doctor DeSoto gets nervous and yanks to tooth out and tells the fox to come back tomorrow and he will put a new tooth in for him. Later that night the mice family could sleep they needed a plan so that the fox didn't eat he while he was putting the new tooth in place. After a long decision they developed a plan. None the less the fox did not talk much for the next two day after getting the special paste for his teeth.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

When I was younger I would start to read the book but the troll under the bridge would scare me, so I would make my big sister finish reading it so I wouldn't have to look at the scary picture of the troll. It also teaches kids that there will be the type of people that will not stop and help you, but to never loose hope. In this book there is an engine that is trying to get all of the toys to the towns children before morning. Because the engine was tired it couldn't make the hill. Two engines passed on by without stopping to help for various reasons. Until one fellow engine stops and saves the day. I believe that young children will enjoy this book because many young kids have a toy train set to play with. Then of course they will have the famous saying " I think I can, I think I can." imprinted for life. Funny how a simple saying like that will stick with you forever.
